Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-28

This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") describes how Masanori Iwata (Sole proprietor, "we" / the "Operator"), operating under the "Orumio" brand at orumio.com (the "Site"), uses cookies and similar technologies. This Policy complements the Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

  • This Policy explains how cookies and analytics technologies are used.
  • Handling of personal information and exercise of user rights are governed by the Privacy Policy.

2. Our Analytics Approach

PostHog (event capture)

  • We record event signals (page navigation, clicks) when you visit the Site.
  • With person_profiles: 'identified_only', anonymous visitors do not get a persisted profile (only an anonymous distinct_id is set).
  • When you pre-register, we identify your distinct_id with your email address in PostHog.

First-touch attribution (for validation reporting)

  • When you first arrive at a validation LP, the edge middleware sets a cookie that retains your referral information (such as UTM tags) for 30 days. On pre-registration, the server reads this cookie and links it to your registration.

3. Cookies in Use

Functional cookies

Used to provide Site functionality:

CookiePurposeRetention
NEXT_LOCALELanguage preference (Japanese / English)1 year
www.first_touchFirst-touch referral (UTM, etc.) for validation reporting30 days

Analytics cookies

Used to improve Site quality:

The Site does not set cookies on the orumio.com domain other than those listed above.

4. Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We respect privacy signals:

  • DNT (Do Not Track): If enabled in your browser, PostHog event capture is disabled.
  • GPC (Global Privacy Control): When detected, analytics capture is similarly disabled.

These signals are detected and honored automatically.

5. Managing Your Choices

You can manage cookie use as follows:

  • Enable DNT in your browser settings
  • Install a GPC-compliant browser extension
  • Clear cookies in your browser settings

Disabling functional cookies may prevent certain Site features (such as language preference persistence) from working correctly.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy in response to changes in law or in the Site. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
